The present study was to analyze the perceptions of women about their sexuality and their body image, after being subjected to radical mastectomy surgery or simple. Participated in the research thirty female patients with breast cancer, mastectomizadas, in treatment at a cancer hospital of Goiania-GO on a Gynecology service and breast and two companions of these patients. Was applied the Demographic questionnaire and semi-structured interview with living habits and body image. The data were analyzed in the program SPSS- Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Showing that patients with fellow respond more adjusted in body image and sexuality and patients without fellow way moderately low and difficulties in sexual life. According to the objective of the research, which is to analyze women’s perceptions about their sexuality and body image after having undergone radical or simple mastectomy surgery, it is concluded that it was achieved through obtaining the data that evidenced sexuality and body image Of patients with and without partners. It is also concluded that the treatment of women with breast cancer and their partner should be multiprofessional because, in addition to the physical alteration in the patient, cancer also promotes changes in biopsychosocial.sexuality, body image, psychology, mastectomy
