Federal University of Goiás Regional Jataí.Report case of invasive lobular carcinoma in man Case Report: Patient C.M.S.F., 65 years old, male, from Jataí Goiás, presented with a palpable nodule in the left breast with onset about 10 years ago and progressive increase. We performed core biopsy where we identified grade II invasive lobular carcinoma (CLI), Luminal B. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy and surgery were performed in another institution. Male breast cancer corresponds to 0.8% in relation to female, CLI and the second most common histological type in the breast, represents 5-15% of breast cancers, affecting mainly postmenopausal women, characterized by presenting pattern of infiltration insidious (Indian queue) being sometimes difficult to diagnose clinically and radiologically. It originates in the epithelial cells of the secretory lobes of the breast. The tumor cell exhibit a lack of cohesion. The most prominent manifestation of this property in the two-dimensions plane of a histologic section is a tendency to form slender strand of cell arranged in a linear fashion. The tumor cell are arranged around ductals and lobules in a concentric fashion. CLI appears in the epithelial cells of the secretory lobes of the breast is very rare in men due to the absence of the mammary lobes in the male breast.lobular carcinoma, male breast cancer
