Centro Universitário UNIRG – Gurupi/TOTo analyze the results of a fine-needle aspiration puncture (FNA), according with every nodule type and malignant cases prevalence. Study of prospective longitudinal cuts based on data from 2.040 fine needle aspiration puncture from breast nodules, collected from January 2010 to December 2013, registered in the State of Goiás, according with the Information System of Breast Cancer (SiSMama). Solid, cystic and solid-cystic nodules where tested. According with the possible results, the nodules were classified as: benign, undetermined malignancy, malignancy suspicion or malign. During this period, 2.806 cytopathological breast exams were performed in the State of Goiás, and 2010 was considered the year with more performed exams, with 28,94% (n=812).
